The 35W rating is the first thing we look at on a phone cooler, and the Black Shark 6 Pro backs it up with a cold plate that gets genuinely uncomfortable to touch within a minute. In our testing, it made the biggest dent in a hot phone during a long gaming session, and the 0.71-inch color display gives you a live readout instead of making you guess whether it's working. The magnetic ring plate is the practical detail we appreciate most: it lets the cooler grip an Android phone or a case that isn't MagSafe-ready, which is not something every magnetic cooler bothers to solve.
The catch is power. This is a wired cooler with no battery, and it wants a serious USB-C adapter or a high-output power bank to hit its ceiling. Plug it into a weak charger and you'll see a fraction of what it can do; we kept it on a 30W-plus brick and a 45W battery pack and had no trouble. If you mostly play at a desk or stream from a tripod, that's an easy trade. If you want to walk around with the phone in your hand, the cord is the thing you'll notice.
At full tilt the fan is audible—not a jet engine, but enough that you'll want the app's quieter profile for streaming with a mic nearby. The app also lets you tune the RGB and cooling modes, and the display is genuinely useful when you're switching between them. We still choose it first for raw cooling; just plan for the tether.
Pros
- 35W cooling with a real temperature drop
- Magnetic ring plate fits non-MagSafe phones
- Color display and app control
- Works with phones, tablets, and laptops
Cons
- No battery, so it stays plugged in
If you want the biggest temperature drop and can keep a strong USB-C source nearby, the 6 Pro is the one we reach for.
